So, my economic woes will soon be over. I'll be working at Familien, which is an awesome club/bar that my cousin Sveinung works with. It is one my favorite spots to go at night here in Trondheim and now it's even better because they have employed me! Remind me why I couldn't get a job in the states for almost 8 months but within 2 months in a foreign country, I'm employed? Haha. Here is a link to their website: Familien! (Look at the fotogalleri). I'll be working in the coat check for now & we'll see what else I wind up doing. All of the people that I've met who work at Familien thus far have been super nice, so I'm excited to meet everyone else.
It's still cold as bajeezus. It was -3 degrees (celsius, that is) last night. Everyone is slipping and sliding everywhere and making jokes about how we all need to buy spikes for our shoes. People are still riding their bikes around, though. Such brave souls they have. I'm Cautious Caroline & I ride the bus if I ever have to go further than 2 km. (Note: I'm trying really hard to use the metric system...finally.)
I'm off to the city center to buy some winter clothes. I've been wandering around in my thin little trench coat with tons of layers underneath. I think it's time to invest in a real winter jacket...and wool socks.
Hope all is good and dandy across the seas! Hugs, kisses & love.
